Licensing technology and selling CPUs

Arm licenses processor technology and collects royalties, while expanding into sales of its own production CPUs. Meta is the lead partner for the new CPU effort. That adds a direct-silicon sales route alongside the established intellectual-property model, with different manufacturing requirements and commercial economics.

First-quarter fiscal 2027 context

Arm reported $1.29 billion of revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. Data-center royalties more than doubled, but the company did not provide a separate absolute AI-revenue figure. Its fiscal 2026 filing said the new AGI CPU had not materially affected revenue during that earlier year.

Initial products have reached customers

The July 29, 2026 update reported initial product deliveries to multiple customers. This moves the CPU business beyond a product announcement. It does not establish that all indicated demand has been fulfilled, or that the new sales route has already reached its intended manufacturing scale.

Supply supports a multi-year opportunity

Arm said secured manufacturing capacity supported approximately $1 billion of opportunity across fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028. Indicated demand exceeded $2 billion, but that larger figure was not all booked or delivered. The supply-backed amount spans two fiscal years rather than one reporting quarter.

Manufacturing is a central constraint

Available manufacturing capacity remained below indicated customer demand. Closing that gap affects the pace of CPU shipments and potential revenue, while data-center royalties continue through a different economic route. Neither prospective demand nor the full data-center royalty business can automatically be labeled realized AI-product revenue.

Track capacity and recurring shipments

The ramp extends through fiscal 2028, ending in March 2028. Management said it would provide improved capacity visibility with third-quarter results. Additional secured supply, repeat deliveries and separately disclosed CPU sales would help show whether the new business is converting early customer interest into a scalable revenue stream.

Documented project connections

Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.

No named tracked-project role has been established by the evidence used for this profile. This does not mean the company has no AI exposure.

Evidence boundaries

Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.

This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
