AI transparency

Policy updated October 13, 2026

Fjord Journal uses AI in research discovery, document analysis, drafting, translation, coding and publication updates. Automated workflows can also propose or apply updates. AI involvement is substantial and is not limited to spelling or formatting.

What AI does not establish

AI output is not a source. A fluent summary cannot establish a permit, contract, financing close, construction milestone or operating capacity. Claims need traceable documents, and analysis must remain distinguishable from reported facts.

Human oversight

The publisher sets coverage priorities and editorial requirements. This does not mean every published page has received a separate human fact-check. We do not claim universal human review, independent interviews or first-hand reporting. An individual reviewer is identified only when that review is documented.

Limits and corrections

AI may misread scope, dates, entities and figures. Translation may introduce errors. Source links, unresolved questions and review dates help readers assess the evidence. Material errors should be corrected in the affected page and explained in its update history. Send the URL, disputed claim and public supporting documents to editor@fjordjournal.com.
